The exhibition will show theJAPAN BRAND's traditional japanese crafts selected byCasa BRUTUS.
After Tokyo, this exhibition will travel to Paris during the period of Maison & Objet from 23 Jan 2009.

The exhibition focuses on the creation process of the Swiss architect, Peter Märkli and Jun Aoki. Many drawings and study models show what is happening when the architecture is being created.

「Transparent Speed :BMWArt Car Collection」atMori Arts Center Gallery
Jun Aoki does spatial composition attempting to visualize the speed as 'Transparent Speed' that is the greatest characteristic of cars.
At the gallery located on the 52nd floor, the light is casted and move through the 10,000 transparent, short and long pipes that express the clouds.
The diffused reflection of the light represent the sense of speed of the art cars barreling through the clouds.

The complete book of the Aomori Museum of Art was published in this July (designed by Jun Aoki, opened on mid-July 2006) that fully concentrate its character and features.
A wonder trip to the Aomori Museum of Art through 119 new photos by Risaku Suzuki lead one far beyond an existing frame of architectural photo books, providing as if one were wondering in that space. Architectural data, detail drawings, soil report included.

AOMORI MUSEUM OF ART: 13 July 2006 Open
The Aomori Museum of Art will open its doors in July of 2006, after we won the open competition in 2000, and the construction of
the museum was completed in Sep. 2005.
The museum will showcase art as well as combine elements of theatre, dance, film, music and fashion to produce dynamic exhibitions.
